Normally I don’t comment on womens’ clothing, but your post was exceptional. My mother was a seamstress and costumer for many years. Her specialty was reenactment clothing – mostly French-America rendezvous, but other period clothing as well.

Is there any hobby that you DON’T do?

We went out yesterday. Your description…

“unable to discern what was a rock, a pile of frozen leaves, a clump of snow, a frozen carcass or a cache container…”

Is spot on. Caching during the winter is very tuff!

hi, just started a WP blog page & was looking at the gallery plug-in and saw your blog as an example. got to looking around and saw countryside that looked somewhat familiar, some sleuthing tells me you’re near M’town, WVA. I’m in Lynchburg, VA. found your geocaching very interesting, looks like a great excuse to get out in the woods with a camera!

    GREAT looking site.

Cool little ride. Picture #8 is an awesome picture. Great angle on the red stripe and the long nose. You have a great eye for pictures.

I will say that this was not really a handout. It was more “For Staff Use Only”. A handout would have been done up right pretty.

Remember the awesome agenda/packing list/mileage splits multi-page spreadsheet from the Grand Canyon adventure? Now that, my friend, was a HANDOUT.

He is beautiful! It’s so nice to see you managed to conserve water by sharing the bath with him.

  16. Phyllis responded on 30 May 2009 at 9:12 pm #

Hmmm. I tried sending this before, but I think I forgot to “answer the question.” ๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyhow, I love looking at your pictures and all the energy and enjoyment you get out of life!

Geeeze Louise, if you wanted some vacation time you should have gone geo caching instead! Hope you get back to your old self in no time!

    Take Care

  19. Sandy responded on 24 Jun 2009 at 5:31 pm #

Wow, but you have to admit, even with the freak out ( been there done that had 34 stiches on my scalp when I was 8 or 9 thanks to my brother Vince) it looks nice and will fade in time. They do a most wonderful job of sutures these days don’t they!

Now comes the really fun part – physical therapy – you’re gonna love and hate him/her at the same time!

Here’s to you getting better and soon!

  20. Arissa responded on 29 Jun 2009 at 9:22 pm #

Great narrative!! Loved it and the pics. Anne and I made it down to St. Thomas with dog and cat all in one piece and are working to rehab the house (it got pretty beat up with renters for four years). 85 degrees though and shorts and flip flops…kind of like Chimney Top without the up;-)

Heh. I will have to do a blog post about giving Harper a bath. We did one about giving V a bath when she was tiny, so why not the dog?

I thought the wonders of Cranada had worn off as this visit didn’t merit a post. Just biding your time, I see.

Nice lot of JEEP TBs. I hope they all moved on to further locations.

You guys are awesome! There are no other words I can use to describe you! If you only knew how thankful I am for you guys! And it does appear that you were without other “volunteers” unfortunately. I am sorry for that!

Oh yeah, I am sorry I didn’t call in the HAZMAT team to bring a portable shower unit! Looks like you really could have used one! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks again SSPG!

Wow I feel kinda bad for getting an easy section of Grand Vue park to clean! Thats some serious garbage. You guys did an AMAZING job!! Kudos to all that cleaned that place up. Sad people trash things that way.

Hi guys, you have really been busy, busy!! I am so glad there was nice wood underneath the sub-flooring!
It will be really nice when you sand and finish it!
A lot of work though. Great!

  32. Juanita responded on 18 Nov 2011 at 10:30 am #

I’m kinda freaked out just reading this so I can’t imagine what your thinking about it. Unless it’s been a few days now and you’ve forgotten all about it. But if you haven’t already – make sure you connecting door from the house to the garage stays shut and locked so that baby Sasquatch can’t get into the house!

  33. Lisa responded on 01 Feb 2012 at 9:21 am #

    Without “Love” we have nothing..
That’s the phrase that keeps coming to mind…
Hearing that phrase on K-Love Christian/Gospel music station..
You kids have the LOVE needed to get through life’s little bumps in the road…
    Prayers for comfort

Thank you Chris for writing this article it was fun to read and I thank you and Chad for adventurous, bad-ass geocaching skills. I often live vicariously through cachers such as yourselves for I am only that adventurous at heart not in reality. Again Thank you.
